The art of Vermouth: an Alpine heritage

Vermouth is an elegant aperitif, born from the blending of a quality white wine, a touch of neutral alcohol and the slow maceration of plants, herbs and spices.

Its unique character traditionally comes from wormwood (Wermut in German), which gives it its name and its delicate bitterness. Since Philibert Routin, a brilliant herbalist, Distillerie des Alpes has carried on this heritage with passion.

Dry with floral notes or red with spiced accents, our vermouths celebrate the union of our mountain terroir and our century-old craftsmanship.

A century-old craftsmanship.

Crafted in Chambéry since 1883, our Vermouths are the result of a rigorous selection of Alpine plants and a unique aromatic blend, a legacy of Philibert Routin.

Wormwood, the soul of Vermouth.

The only French appellation d'origine contrôlée for a Vermouth, Vermouth de Chambéry must by law contain wormwood, which gives it its light, characteristic bitterness.

To savour, to share.

Served chilled as an aperitif or elevated in a cocktail, Vermouth de Chambéry is welcome at every table. An invitation to conviviality, in the purest Savoyard tradition.
